This fantasy action platformer follows Hocus, a young sorcerer sent by Terexin, leader of the Council of Wizards, to prove his worth. His trial takes him through dangerous realms filled with demons, ghosts, dragons and other creatures, with puzzles built into the levels and bosses to fight along the way.

Hocus uses magic spells and can find potions that temporarily enhance his abilities, allowing him to shoot faster, jump higher, teleport or unleash a powerful energy blast. The scenery, backgrounds and enemies change every two levels, and the game offers selectable difficulty levels.
