The game's plot tells the story of a runaway slave who has risen against the invaders that enslaved his home planet. The protagonist's kin were doomed to become food for the supreme lords of a hostile alien race. In battle, the hero is assisted by a partner — another runaway armed with a shotgun. According to the script, he is destined to die in battle; however, the player's skill can delay this moment.
The goal of the game is to fight through a system of underground caves, exterminating hundreds of extraterrestrial beings on the way to freedom. After each wave of enemies, players are offered cards that radically change the gameplay. They allow players to pit opponents against each other, increase damage, or summon grotesque creatures for assistance, making each playthrough unique.
