Adds a dedicated Colours configuration menu to the Options screen (accessible via the button on the right side of the panel), allowing you to recolor virtually every UI element, HUD widget, combat marker, and screen effect in How to Fish. Every entry features an individual toggle, a default reset button, and a live animated preview.

Purely client-side: changes are rendered locally, requiring zero files or synchronization from other players in multiplayer lobbies.

Customizable Elements:

  • Palette: Core shared game accents — red (damage indicators, currency loss, boss meters, chat names), green (money/bait gain), orange (highlights), and mini-boss accents.
  • Score Popups: Kill/catch notifications (multipliers, main scoring lines, typing/finished text states, style bonus rows).
  • Combat: Hitmarkers, damage floaters, and unique killing-blow color palettes.
  • Blood: Hit impact spray and persistent ground blood splatters.
  • Screen Overlays: Fullscreen edge vignettes for damage, poison, burning, and eating (with individual disable toggles).
  • Money & Bait: On-screen balance tracker and floating gain/loss readouts.
  • Vitals: Health/hunger rings, trail fades, status condition outlines, and low-stat warning tints.
  • Boss HUD: Boss/mini-boss health bars, damage decay trails, fight timers, and boss name text.
  • Chat: The [Server] system tag and custom player name colors.
  • Inspect Panel: Item title, description body, and weight bonus percentage.
  • Hotbar: Slot numerals, keybind hints, and active selection borders.
  • HUD & Prompts: Look-at prompts, item interaction triggers, NPC dialogue, version string, voice-chat indicator, catch banners, and item tracking dots.
  • Menu Elements: Game logo, main menu buttons, and options screen typography.
  • Slot Machine: Outlines for common, rare, and legendary cosmetic tiers.
  • Drip Text Gradient: Replace the vanilla animated drip effect with a custom 2-to-8 color dynamic gradient.

Color Picker & Preset Management:

  • Flexible palette picker: character creator grid, RGBA sliders, and HEX code input.
  • 8 built-in themes ready to use out of the box.
  • Plain-text preset engine: share themes instantly via clipboard Copy/Paste or access them directly via the in-game Folder button.
  • Presets and configs are stored in BepInEx/config/MoreColours/.

Installation:

  1. Ensure BepInEx is installed for How to Fish.
  2. Place MoreColours.dll into: How to Fish/BepInEx/plugins/ (or install using a mod manager).
