This racing game is centered on the history of the Indianapolis 500, with missions based on famous and controversial moments from the event. Players take the role of one of 30 real-life drivers, including Al Unser, A.J. Foyt and Parnelli Jones, and compete in races featuring overtaking, crashes and battles to reach the finish.
Progression lets players drive different types of historic cars, from front-engine roadsters to early turbine cars and vehicles fitted with bolt-on wings. The races reflect an era when rules were few and driver protection was limited.
