Intake is a retro-futuristic arcade shooter built around an endless barrage of pills that the player must dodge and shoot to avoid a lethal dose. Scoring points and chaining combos puts reflexes and aim to the test, accompanied by an electronic dubstep soundtrack.

Vitamins collected during play can be traded for upgrades that change the gameplay. Challenge modes include Acceleration, Minefield, Reaction, and Flood, while scoreboards and game statistics track performance. With sufficient skill, the game can also be turned into a scrolling shooter.
