This open-world space simulator centers on exploring a hostile galaxy and building custom starships. Ships are assembled deck by deck in an editor, from small exploration vessels to cargo ships and battleships; designs from the workshop can also be used. Players explore star systems, open spatial rifts to reach new regions, and choose a faction to ally with.
A ship serves as a base for mining ores and minerals from asteroid belts, trading, and completing missions. Production can be automated, and mining drones can gather resources. The galaxy is threatened by the Skrill, an alien race capable of taking over systems, while pirates and rival fleets target ships and cargo. Players can fight alone or team up with others as crew, with ship-to-ship battles and boarding combat also available.
