A turn-based role-playing strategy game about a Viking chieftain who survives the wrath of the gods and sets out on perilous sea voyages. The player explores a handcrafted ocean, chooses which battles to fight, and faces the denizens of the Iron Tides across ruined sites, ancient temples, and warship decks.
Voyages bring opportunities to plunder ruins, bribe enemy garrisons, and haggle with merchants, while narrative encounters offer multiple ways forward. After a successful raid, the crew returns to the stronghold of Norhaven to acquire supplies, recruit warriors, and prepare for the next season. Each Viking has four abilities drawn from a shared pool and a unique procedurally generated upgrade path; fallen warriors do not return.
