Kingdom Under Fire 2

Kingdom Under Fire 2 is a multiplayer online game with elements of real-time strategy, role-playing gameplay, and slasher-style battles. Players have several characters of different classes and abilities at their disposal, as well as a personal army of diverse troops.

In the game, you can fight as a hero in exciting duels and as a commander, leading your troops. The project is developed by the Korean studio Blueside, and in Russia and the CIS countries, it is supported by the company "Innov". The game is distributed under a freemium model with the option to connect premium services.

The KUF 2 framework is built on a familiar MMO scheme: you choose a hero and enter a vast game world full of events and quests with computer surroundings (PvE) and with other players (PvP). You can unite into Alliances and Guilds.

Over time, the hero gains new levels, unlocks abilities, and grows in numerous characteristics. Leveling up is facilitated by auto-leveling, but you can choose ability perks, weapons, armor, and other equipment. The balance is very well maintained.

Half of the gameplay is a third-person slasher: using weapons, the character performs colorful basic and enhanced strikes, as well as effective combinations. In this mode, there is interaction with the game world (communication with characters, traders).

The second half of the gameplay is a third-person RTS, where the character becomes a commander with a new set of skills and a personal army of 10 squads. There are more than 70 in total across 14 categories. Soldiers are provided by humans, elves, and orcs; swordsmen and knights coexist with musketeers, fantasy archers, orc riders, ogres, and airships.

KUF 2 is the fifth game in the Kingdom Under Fire series, so it has a well-developed universe with a thousand-year history. The action takes place in the fantasy world of Bersia, and the game begins after the invasion of the legions of Chaos by the dark god Enkablus, who destroys everything in their path. His armies are led by heroes from previous games in the series, succumbing to evil charms.

According to the plot, the player must save Bersia from destruction by going through hundreds of battles against Enkablus's minions and uniting all factions in the fight against a common evil. Following the plot is quite interesting; the screenwriters have utilized the full potential of the game universe. The scale is felt thanks to the abundance of squads in RTS missions.

The game features one continent divided into regions, which are further divided into locations. There is no open world in the game, but the maps vary. The player starts with small corridor levels and, as they progress, enters increasingly wider locations. The PvP mode takes place on spacious, diverse maps, including well-developed Cities and Arenas, while in the PvE mode, players encounter even larger maps where they can meet giant monsters.

In the future, three new commanders will appear: Summoner, Paladin, and Necromancer. The game's feature is that all commanders are well-balanced and there is no difference in whom to choose.
