This role-playing sequel to Labyronia takes place ten years after the first game, with the world plunged into cold and darkness by the elemental beings’ use of a force that threatens the planet’s life. The last band of human survivors must find a way to reverse the catastrophe before the world becomes an eternal frozen wasteland.

Progress through the large world is partly non-linear. Exploring unusual locations yields skills through the Cue system, and players can seek out every Cue. Boss battles call for strategy, while other enemies are visible in the field: random encounters occur only on the world map and can usually be avoided.
