This arcade platformer follows the LocoRoco as they try to save their planet from the returning Moja, whose song drains the life from living things. The LocoRoco must use music and song to stand against the threat.

Players explore 25 stages, including hidden challenges, and meet new characters. Music helps the LocoRoco develop and learn new actions: they can climb inside shells to destroy thorns, leap from blade to blade of grass, and swim underwater. The game also includes six mini-games, one of them a four-player multiplayer mode.
