In the historic city of Kisaragi, unexplained events range from minor mishaps to murders. A worm born of hatred and sadness, known as Silent, is believed to infect people and drive them to commit crimes. After his parents become victims, Atsuki undergoes a dangerous operation to gain Lux-Pain in his left arm, then uses its power to seek out and destroy Silent.
