A real-time strategy game with massively multiplayer elements, [MARS] Total Warfare is set on a resource-scarce Mars where conflict has raged for decades. The player commands the LL alliance of battle mechs and fights other players or AI opponents across cratered terrain, including valleys and craters where liquid water has formed.

Expanding the army requires extracting minerals and harnessing natural energy sources. Technological upgrades unlock more advanced facilities, while managing resources efficiently can matter more than winning outright. Battles support team multiplayer and AI opponents, and players can join online fights without waiting for them to begin. Maps are built from satellite imagery of Mars and delivered on demand.
