The first part was always my least favorite. Not the most pleasant graphics (even for 2007), the exploration of planets on the Mako is flawed in my opinion, and also, no matter how stupid it may sound, I have always disliked the armor options presented in the game. However, the game is good. The plot, like all BioWare games of that time, was good, the action components combined with RPG elements looked simply brilliant. I also can’t ignore the ability of biotics, which for me have always been the most gorgeous feature of all mass effects. Unfortunately, the side quests in this game are simply terrible and completing them has always been a pain for me, as someone who likes to complete the game to the maximum.

I recently discovered this amazing world. Amazing game above awards and ratings. I have never had such a mind-blowing feeling from games. The game touches the soul and heart. I want to live in it. Shepard is still a comrade. I went through the entire game on emotions. Either he smiled like a fool from ear to ear, or he brushed away a stingy tear. This world takes you back to childhood, when it was easy to be impressed by a good book and get lost in daydreams. Thanks to the creators for giving me the opportunity to make my dream come true and go to space. Thank you for your attention to detail, thoughtful plot and characters, for Shepard, for your bright emotions. How amazing everything is. Music! What music!

I will never forget the first time I launched it. It was in 2010, when I bought my second PC. At first I wasn’t particularly interested in the game, I played for a couple of hours and gave up. I even deleted it, it seemed boring to me. Then, after a year and a half, I picked it up again, since there wasn’t much to play at that time. I tried to get involved in the process, and I succeeded. The game sucked me in after the second mission of the priority mission (Noveria). I was overwhelmed with emotions, the voice acting was amazing, the acting was top notch. The plot really captivated me, the unexpected twists, the pursuit of the main antagonist, side quests.... I played day after day. But at that time even the graphics attracted me. In 2010-2011, I still didn’t know much about games, and my… Read full

The first Mass Effect remains perhaps the most atmospheric game in the series, taking us into this beautiful sci-fi world from a simple encounter on a small planet to an epic battle with the Reaper. Choose for yourself who to be - a cruel renegade or a noble hero.

And all this to the accompaniment of awesome electronic music (and the song played in the credits is a very cool space rock), which has not left the playlist for 10 years.

The disadvantages include not very convenient shooting (this was corrected in the second part), painful trips on the Mako and... elevators)

I absolutely love it, I’ve played it many times.

I played ME 1 for the first time after parts 2 and 3 (I was a child and didn’t even know about the first one). I didn't get into the plot either. But ME1 is a kind of story of how the brave Cap Shepard, being an elite soldier, gets the opportunity to prove himself and, in addition, save the world from someone in whose existence they do not believe. On the one hand, the game is interesting, but on the other hand, not everyone will like it. For me personally, it is almost on par with part 3. It is inferior to 3 parts in one, and superior in another. There are also some unnecessary mechanics that they finally decided to remove, because if you play ME1 after parts 2 and 3, it will be very uncomfortable, taking into account the slightly different battle mechanics. In parts 2 and 3, everything i… Read full
