Set in 21XX, this futuristic action platformer follows a revolt by some of the Reploids, robots created to aid humanity. Maverick Hunter X and his ally Zero must stop Sigma, a powerful Reploid who has turned against the peacekeepers and threatens mankind. Mega Man Maverick Hunter X remakes the original Mega Man X with newly rendered 3D character models, new environments and revised levels.
The side-scrolling platforming stages have updated map layouts, item locations and strategies for completing them. The game also includes an animated movie that explores the Mega Man X universe and offers a look at events preceding the first game’s story.
