This side-scrolling futuristic action shooter follows the near-collision of Earth and the space colony Eurasia, a disaster averted through Zero’s heroics. On the battered planet, reports emerge of rampaging Reploids, and Mega Man X sets out to investigate.
The player fights through maze-like levels and rescues Reploids along the way. The Nightmare System changes level maps, enemies, and endings based on the player’s actions, making repeat runs vary.
