MewnBase is a 2D exploration and survival game about a space cat stranded on an uncharted, barren planet without enough food or essential gear. The player explores the surroundings, gathers resources and crafts base modules—from airlocks to rainwater collectors—to create a place to live.

Artifacts found across the planet can be researched to unlock crafting recipes and technology upgrades. Survival depends on managing power and clean water, keeping air cleaners running, and preparing for nighttime, thunderstorms and sandstorms. Vehicles make it possible to travel longer distances.
