Missing Translation is a puzzle game about exploring a strange city in the middle of a desert, surrounded by unusual creatures. The player investigates the unfamiliar setting and solves puzzles rather than following a typical point-and-click adventure.
There is no text, tutorial, or hint system, so players work out the puzzles on their own. The game features three puzzle mechanics with 25 levels each, two characters to choose from, and additional challenges involving a drawn language that can be learned to some extent. Its visuals use black-and-white pixel art.
