MLB 08: The Show is a baseball simulation focused on Major League Baseball games and the career of a created player. In Road to The Show, the player controls that character on offense and defense, following the action from the character’s perspective. The Progressive Batting Performance system tracks each batter’s results: strong performance can bring a slight contact bonus, while a slump can reduce contact.
Online play includes customizable leagues of up to 30 teams. SCOUT lets players save game preferences on MLB’s server and find quick-match opponents with similar competitive criteria; online features also include a scrolling ticker of MLB scores.
