Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance

A large-scale story expansion for Monster Hunter Wilds, continuing the development of the hunting world and raising the stakes to a new level. The events unfold in the location of the Kumodzu Ruins — floating islands above the clouds, where ancient traces of the wyvern civilization coexist with monsters that have evolved in isolation.

The journey to the sky regions takes place through swift flights on flying creatures, allowing movement between torn platforms and exploring the vertical world of ruins. In these lands, Ancient Dragons return, including Kushala Daora and Lao-Shan Lung, whose appearance changes the usual balance of power.

The expansion emphasizes increased difficulty and an expanded combat system: weapons gain new techniques and enhanced capabilities, while battles become more dynamic and varied. Ascendance develops the series' formula, adding new hunting challenges, large-scale confrontations, and a more dangerous world where every hunt requires maximum preparation.
