This horror FPS prequel to NecroVisioN takes place during World War I, before the original game's story, and presents events from the opposing side. The player takes the role of a German soldier who discovers the evil forces unleashed by the war and fights zombies and demons. As the campaign progresses, he leads soldiers from different nations through large-scale battles.
The single-player campaign features new levels, characters, and weapons, along with special weapon upgrades, close-combat techniques, spells, and fatalities. Combat also makes use of the FT17 tank and Halberstadt CL.II airplane. Multiplayer includes the Gas Attack mode, additional maps, and character skins.
