This puzzle adventure follows Nelson Tethers, an agent with the U.S. Department of Puzzle Research, as he investigates the town of Scoggins. After the Scoggins Eraser Co. answers White House inquiries with puzzles, Tethers is sent to discover what is happening there.

The player explores the town and solves mazes, logic problems, riddles, and other brainteasers to gather clues to the larger mystery. The investigation connects the townspeople’s odd behavior with secret societies, peculiar sounds from the forest, and mysterious gnomes. Collecting chewing gum provides hints when a puzzle proves difficult.
