About the Game

Set in the USSR in 1988, Noise is a horror adventure about a radio amateur who picks up a mysterious signal filled with unintelligible noise and occasional fragments of human speech. Maps show no place where the transmission appears to originate, and the protagonist sets out to discover what lies behind it.

With no weapon at hand, the protagonist relies on a radio to tune in to different frequencies, contact people, and track a creature that emits radio waves. It roams the locations, hunts the protagonist, and reacts to light and flashlight use; it cannot be killed, but it cannot see in the dark. The story unfolds through conversations, the protagonist’s thoughts, and exploration, which can reveal additional details.
