This first-person adventure puzzle game takes place in the futuristic city of Neutropolis, where a sinister force has reduced a once-thriving place to a state of apathy. The protagonist, Kent Knutson, is a dreamer and one of the city's most awkward residents. After a week in prison, he is placed under house arrest for whistling in public and sets out to leave his home and uncover what is happening.

Players explore Neutropolis's streets and unusual locations, gather clues, and solve puzzles using a voodoo doll interface. Challenges can have multiple solutions, some of them strange and unexpected, while the hero's actions are followed by motion-capture sequences.
