Obey the Insect God

Old-school side-scrolling action platformer reminiscent of classic games from the Mortal Kombat series. The player will venture into the lair of the Insect God, fight brutal enemies, and gradually uncover the mystery of a mysterious woman and the cult itself, based on a narrative inspired by the Karelian-Finnish epic "Kalevala".

The combat system is built on skills and precision: combo strikes, perfect blocks, stunning opponents, and using learned abilities require attentiveness and quick reactions. The visual style employs digitized live actor sprites, creating a feeling of an old, slightly unsettling game from the past. World exploration is free: most movement mechanics are available from the very beginning, allowing players to explore the cursed space at their own pace and discover hidden secrets.
