This third-person action RPG with hack-and-slash combat is set in a medieval fantasy world. The player explores the secrets of Ortharion and collects its fragments, stones that strengthen the world’s inhabitants while making them more aggressive. The journey brings encounters with monsters and bosses, as well as traps, moving platforms, puzzles, and secret areas.
Combat relies on spells that can be found, upgraded, and customized with runes; mana and stamina must be managed for offense and defense. Procedurally generated items can be improved by craftsmen and combined into sets. Collected fragments grant talent points, while class progression unlocks further class options. Alongside the campaign, the game features procedurally generated dungeons and a hardcore mode.
