Palinurus is a kinetic visual novel about a wandering passenger bound for Alpha Centauri aboard a space shuttle. The shuttle is piloted by Budapest, an artificial intelligence designed to serve humanity; after a disaster sends the ship into uncharted space, the chances of rescue look bleak.

Adrift in the cockpit, the passenger and Budapest have only each other to rely on. As they encounter new discoveries, Budapest develops traits and quirks beyond its programming, while the passenger begins to realize there is more to the AI than its assigned purpose.
