This modification enables the built-in perfect deflect effect in Phantom Blade Zero. Once installed, every standard block is automatically counted as a perfect deflection.
You still need to press the block button yourself. The mod simply enables the native in-game GE_PerfectDeflect effect through the built-in pbz.ForcePerfectDeflect switch. It does not patch the game executable, touch your save files, or modify health, damage, or in-game currency.
Requirements:
- Installed UE4SS mod loader for Phantom Blade Zero version 3.0.1.
Installation:
- Open the game directory via Steam by right-clicking Phantom Blade Zero, choosing Manage, and selecting Browse local files.
- Navigate to the platform\steam directory containing the PBZ.exe executable.
- Extract the downloaded archive into this folder.
- Verify that the script file is located at platform\steam\ue4ss\Mods\PBZPerfectGuard\Scripts\main.lua.
- The modification activates automatically through the enabled.txt file in its folder, so editing mods.txt is not required.
Usage:
- No further configuration is required.
- Perfect guard activates a few seconds after the game launches and persists across level transitions.
- Successful activation is confirmed by a Perfect guard ON entry inside the ue4ss\UE4SS.log file.
- There is no in-game toggle since the game engine retains the applied effect until restart.
- To play without the modification, delete the mod folder and restart the game.
