Picross DS is a puzzle game in which numbered clues at the edges of a grid guide the player in marking squares and crosses to reveal a hidden picture. Its main mode contains 300 puzzles, ranging from 5×5 to 20×20 grids. Optional clues can help complete a puzzle, while a roulette-style hint reveals one line of the grid.

In My Picross mode, players can create puzzles and share them with friends. Each puzzle can have its own image, revealed when it is solved, and unlockable skins let players change the game’s appearance with themes based on nature, sports, and video game heroes.
