Pikmin 4 Update 2.0.0 Adds Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Support
Owners of the upgrade pack for Pikmin 4 can now prepare for the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, as Nintendo released version 2.0.0 on November 4, 2026, for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Players who purchased the upgrade pack will be able to play that edition starting November 12.

Nintendo Declares November 1 Pikmin Day, Announces Pikmin 4 Switch 2 Demo
Nintendo used a dedicated Pikmin Direct to establish November 1 as Pikmin Day, with Shigeru Miyamoto saying the date was chosen because three Pikmin standing side by side — the red, blue, and yellow ones — resemble the numerals 11.1. The presentation also set up a November 2 demo for Pikmin 4 on Nintendo Switch 2 and new seasonal content for Pikmin Bloom.

Nintendo Wins $4.5 Million Judgment Against SwitchPirates Moderator
A federal judge in Washington has ordered James Williams, a moderator of the r/SwitchPirates community, to pay Nintendo $4.5 million and stop operating online shops tied to pirated Switch games. Williams did not respond to the 2024 lawsuit. The award covers 30 copyrighted games, at $150,000 per game. Among the titles named in the judgment are Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Luigi's Mansion 3, and Pikmin 4.
