You need a good graphics card to run it, personally I use an Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti with 11GB GDDR 5 and 32GB of RAM, 512GB SSD, a machine and a card that are clearly starting to date in 2025. But it's still perfect to run the game in 1080p with a lot of details, the park really needs to be packed with people, attractions, lights and decorations very busy for it to start slowing down... The worthy heir to the Roller Coaster Tycoon series, without the drawbacks! For me, the only Roller Cosater Tycoon "that was still worth it" was the 3. Planet Coaster is exactly what the Roller Coaster Tycoon series should have been or become!
If, however, you want to stay in the spirit and simplicity of the first games, you'll have to turn to Parkitect, but the big drawback of this game is the management of the supply of the shops via the basements, a real ordeal to set up!
But what strikes you most when you play Planet Coaster for the first time is its visual slap! It's magnificent! When you go from Roller Coaster 3 to Planet Coaster, it's masterful! And Planet Coaster 2 goes even further, really further! You'll need a truly beefed-up, souped-up PC to play it properly...
In short, if you don't have the budget to buy a large configuration in 2025, there are ways to find PCs equipped with a card identical to mine or slightly better for an affordable price. And the first Planet Coaster still has every reason to exist in 2025. Even if it's inferior to what's available now, the pleasure and fun remain intact!
Il faut une bonne carte graphique pour le faire tourner, perso j'utilise une Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti avec 11 go GDDR 5 et 32 go de RAM, SSD 512 Go, une machine et une carte qui commencent clairement à dater en 2025. Mais ça reste parfait pour faire tourner le jeu en 1080p avec pas mal de détails, il faut vraiment que le parc soit blindé de monde, attractions, lumières et décorations très chargées pour que ça commence à ralentir... Le digne héritier de la série des Roller Coaster Tycoon, sans les inconvénients ! Pour moi, le seul Roller Cosater Tycoon "qui valait encore la peine" était le 3. Planet Coaster est exactement ce que la série des Roler Coaster Tycoon aurait dû être ou devenir !
Si on souhaite par contre rester dans l'esprit et la simplicité des premiers opus, il faudra se tourner vers Parkitect mais le gros bémol de ce jeu est la gestion de l'approvisionnement des boutiques par les sous-sols, un vrais calvaire à mettre en place!
Mais ce qui frappe le plus quand on joue pour la première fois à Planet Coaster, c'est sa claque visuelle ! Il est magnifique ! Quand on passe de Roller Coaster 3 à Planet Coaster, c'est magistral ! Et Planet Coaster 2 va encore plus loin, vraiment plus loin ! Là il faudra un PC véritablement vitaminé et gonflé pour y jouer dans de bonnes conditions...
Bref, si vous n'avez pas le budget pour acheter une une grosse configuration en 2025. Il y a moyen de trouver des PC équipés d'une carte identique à la mienne ou légèrement supérieure pour un coût abordable. Et Planet Coaster premier du nom a encore toute sa raison d'être en 2025. Même s'il est inférieur à ce qui se fait maintenant, le plaisir et le fun restent entiers !
