This science-fiction shooter is set in 2164, when an orbiting annihilation platform falls out of control and destroys a city, prompting the military to deploy the prototype R9all Delta. The player pilots the ship in a battle against the new threat, which emerges after the defeat of the Bydo Empire. The events take place a year after the damaged R-9A Arrowhead returns to Earth.
R-Type Delta: HD Boosted is an updated version of the 1998 game, featuring high-definition visuals and modern quality-of-life improvements. The story begins with an attempt to approach the Moritz-G platform, whose advanced defences make it nearly impossible to reach.
