Twenty-second century Earth. Five years after the rebellion on Mars.
For the last 15 years, Sopot, the corrupt dictator, has oppressed the people of the Commonwealth. His relentless pursuit of unification with the neighboring United Republic has left the country soaked in unnecessary bloodshed and poverty. Propaganda is plastered throughout communities and a Public Information Building, built as a tribute to the self-centered chancellor, spews news broadcasts with claims of victory as more and more soldiers fall victim. Reviews and ratings
The sequel to the first Red Faction is a bit weaker than the original, but it's still playable if you're willing.
The plot is good; I liked it. The action now takes place on Earth, where enhanced soldiers rebel against their creator. There are some interesting twists that fit perfectly with this installment. Another notable feature is the four endings, each differing only in the description of the events in the same video (which might not be to everyone's taste).
The large number of weapons keeps things interesting, and each was used to its full potential.
On the downside: there's less freedom, as well as destructibility. You can't get in and out of vehicles at will. Now you can only break down certain walls, and destructibility only shows off during tank missions, where buildings collapse as… Read full
Продолжение первой Red Faction немного слабее оригинала, но при желании можно пройти.
Сюжет неплохой, мне понравился. Действия теперь происходят на Земле, где улучшенные солдаты восстают против их создателя. Есть интересные повороты, которые отлично подходят для этой части. Ещё можно выделить наличие 4 концовок, отличающихся лишь описанием событий на одинаковом видеоролике (кому-то может не понравиться).
Большое количество оружия не даёт заскучать, каждое использовалось по максимуму.
Из минусов: свободы стало меньше, как и разрушаемости. Нельзя по желанию залезть в транспорт и вылезти из него. Теперь ломать можно только некоторые стены, а разрушаемость красуется лишь при миссиях с танком, когда при передвижении рушатся дома.
