This third-person survival horror game based on the Saw film franchise follows detective David Tapp, who wakes up in an abandoned asylum after being captured by his longtime enemy, the serial killer Jigsaw. The events take place between Saw and Saw II, telling a separate story within the films’ narrative.
Tapp must solve puzzles and find ways through lethal traps, including mechanisms from the films as well as new designs. Jigsaw’s minions also roam the asylum, and the detective fights them with weapons found in the environment. The other captives have connections to Tapp’s past, leaving him to decide whether to try to save them as he pursues Jigsaw.
