Shadow Blade: Reload is a side-scrolling action platformer about Kuro, a ninja tasked with restoring balance to a modern world where ancient clans are locked in a struggle for dominance. A broken covenant and a medallion nearing completion threaten to plunge the world into chaos once more.
Kuro races through trap-filled levels and fights enemies with a katana, shurikens, and a kusarigama. Guards can be attacked before they raise the alarm, while hidden areas and speed affect the stage rank. The campaign offers harder variations, alongside dedicated challenge stages and a level editor for creating custom courses.
