I played Shining Force 2 on an emulator, but in English, since I didn’t have the Internet then. And somehow we managed to get through to the middle of the game. But we got stuck there, because it was not clear what to do, and then, somehow connecting the computer via a splitter to the phone, we downloaded the Russian version and went through it.
The game will be a great success for all fans of turn-based battles. The game has everything - a variety of heroes, with different items and abilities, hidden and additional tasks that give new characters. Interesting and well thought out plot. Many types of races (a la elves, centaurs, magicians, eagles, ghosts).
The enemies are getting stronger and stronger. You step in the wrong direction, and on the way back you have to wave again, and when the plot is confusing and you are looking for something, you had to fight in one place several times. Sometimes I thought, how did people pass it in the present day? (on the emulator you can save anywhere)
And yes, in the game itself there are in-game saves for the priest. They didn’t find it right away either.
The game is better than the 1st part in terms of everything - the plot is longer, there are more levels of heroes, the art is more pleasant. I played part 1 after part 2, maybe that’s why it seems so to me. If you haven't played part 1, it's better to play that first, and not vice versa.
There are incomprehensible moments, such as where to go, what to do, etc., etc. But I still couldn’t find all the additional missions, without the help of the Internet. But this, I think, makes it more fun.
Playing as a teenager, I was sometimes familiar and interested in their problems and conversations, because the main characters were teenage school students. Even many years later, when replaying the game, I was emotional.
In general, I think it’s one of the best Sega games I’ve ever played. I didn’t play part 3 because... didn't know about its existence. But from the screenshots it doesn’t look very good. Let's see.
Играл в Shining Force 2 уже на эмуляторе, но на английском языке, так как тогда у меня не было Интернета. И как то умудрились пройти до середины игры. Но там застряли, ибо было непонятно что надо делать, и тогда, кое как подключив комп через сплиттер к телефону, скачали русскую версию и прошли ее.
Игра залетит на ура всем любителям пошаговых боев. В игре есть все — разнообразные герои, с различными предметами и способностями, скрытые и дополнительные задания, дающие новых персонажей. Интересный и хорошо продуманный сюжет. Множество типов рас (а-ля эльфы, кентавры, маги, орлы, призраки).
Враги становятся все сильнее и сильнее. Шагнешь не туда, и на обратном пути — снова махачь, а когда сюжет запутанный, и ты ищешь что-то, приходилось драться на одном месте несколько раз. Порой думал, как ее проходили люди на сегу? (на эмуляторе можно сохранять в любом месте)
А да, в самой игре есть внутриигровые сохранения у священника. Тоже не сразу нашли.
Игра лучше 1-ой части в плане всего — сюжет длиннее, уровней героев больше, рисовка приятнее. Я играл 1 часть после 2, может поэтому мне так кажется. Если не играли в 1 часть, сначала лучше сыграть в нее, а не наоборот.
Бывают непонятные моменты, типа куда идти че делать и тд и тп. А доп миссии я таки не нашел все, без помощи инета. Но этим она, я считаю, веселее.
Играя будучи подростком, мне порой были знакомы и интересны их проблемы и разговоры, ведь главные персонажи — подростки-ученики школы. Даже спустя много лет, пере проходя игру, я был на эмоциях.
В общем, считаю одной из лучших игр на Сегу что мне довелось сыграть. В 3 часть не играл, т.к. не знал о ее существовании. Но по скринам не оч выглядит. Посмотрим.
