Sonic Frontiers Tops Five Million Sales, Unlocking Sonic Adventure 2 Shoes for Everyone
SEGA announced that Sonic Frontiers has surpassed five million copies sold worldwide. To mark the milestone, the publisher is giving all players Sonic Adventure 2 shoes, the same cosmetic that was once locked behind a newsletter signup bonus. The game originally launched on November 8, 2022 across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, so the new figure caps a long sales run.

Persona overtakes Sonic in Sega's quarterly sales for the first time
Sega has posted the results of the first quarter of its fiscal year, and the company's leading franchise turned out to be not the most obvious one. From April to June 2026, games in the Persona series sold 1.04 million copies, while Sonic stopped at 980,000. Third place went to the Like a Dragon series, previously known as Yakuza, together with its Judgment spin-offs — over 670,000 copies between them, while Total War rounded out the top four with 370,000.
