Stonemachia

A grim soulslike action game, centered around Zephyr — a pawn capable of transforming into other chess pieces. His journey takes him through a world ravaged by the Plague of Angels: the ruined lands are inhabited by animated statues and strange creatures inspired by Italian art and folklore. The journey through Medhelan gradually reveals the mystery of the catastrophe and leads to an attempt to restore the lost balance.

Gameplay revolves around transformations and adaptation. Each form unlocks new abilities and changes the approach to battles, while thoughtful use of defense and positioning becomes the key to survival. Fights feel like a chain of tactical decisions, where success depends on the ability to timely choose the right form and utilize its capabilities.
