Strayed Lights sieht schön aus und das Gameplay ist leicht verständlich, souls-like. Man hat Schlauchlevels und muss gegen größere Gegner ankämpfen. Fliege kann man wohl nicht, also nur blocken, zuschlagen, hüpfen, laufen, rennen, Gegenstände einsammeln. Es macht nicht soviel Spaß wie Sunset Overdrive oder Marvel Spiderman wo man in der Umgebung parkour durchquert. Die Story kommt ohne Dialoge aus ähnlich wie Journey.
