Removes collision restrictions when building your base, allowing you to freely place rooms and disables excessive obstruction boundaries when placing and resizing rooms. Removes collision limits when placing rooms and base modules. Lets you build in areas that would normally be considered invalid for construction.
What the mod does NOT do (yet):
Does not allow free placement of furniture and items inside rooms (this system works separately and will be supported later).
No game files are modified — the patch is applied in memory only and disappears when you close the game.
Common installation mistakes:
- UE4SS and dwmapi.dll must be extracted directly into Win64\ or WinGDK\, not into a subfolder;
- TooManyRooms must be placed directly into Mods\, not into another folder;
- After extracting, make sure the TooManyRooms folder is not inside a parent folder created by your archive tool;
- The TooManyRooms folder must contain the enabled.txt file.
How to install:
- Install UE4SS for Subnautica 2;
- Find your Mods folder: Steam: Subnautica2\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\; Microsoft Store / Game Pass: Subnautica2\Binaries\WinGDK\ue4ss\Mods\;
- Extract the archive and place the TooManyRooms folder directly into Mods\;
- Launch the game — placement restrictions are now removed.
