This adventure game with puzzle elements follows a feud between monkey kingdoms and an effort to bring their inhabitants together. A prince and princess from rival kingdoms flee to Jungle Island and ask AiAi, MeeMee, Gongon, and Baby for help uniting the kingdoms and stopping the Naysayers, who have drained the joy from the Monkey Ball world.

Players choose one of the four characters and complete quests across five kingdoms by solving puzzles. The monkey balls gain new abilities, including sticking to walls, hovering, and turning invisible. The game also features 50 puzzle levels and six party games.
