Technic Beat is a music action game about creating and altering music through on-screen dancing. The player follows the rhythm by moving a character toward the centers of radiating sound rings; successful moves allow the rings to be manipulated into new musical sequences. Progress brings visual effects, bonuses, and power-ups.
Arcade mode tracks performance with a tension meter, while Free mode lets players choose songs, save and replay performances, and control the camera and music. Challenge mode offers tests at a chosen difficulty, and Sudden Death requires completing every song in order without a mistake. The game supports solo play and two-player cooperative or competitive play.
