World War II in games usually ends where it always begins: the beaches of Normandy, the ruins of Stalingrad, the Ardennes. The Chinese front, where the war raged longer than it did in Europe, has barely been touched by the industry — until now. Studio Hangzhou Hoothanes Entertainment and publisher 4Divinity revealed a trailer for The Defiant at gamescom's Opening Night Live, a first-person shooter about resistance to the Japanese occupation, with the game's page already live on Steam.
