The Rats (1985) — horror with tactical elements. The game is a simulation that allows the player to strategically send emergency response forces (rat exterminators, police officers, firefighters, and eventually army troops) into areas where the rat threat has spread and provide them with available equipment. The player can also have ten available researchers to develop additional weapons, defenses and superweapons to keep the rats at bay and provide useful information to progress in the game. If the rat menace moves beyond London, the Research Center, Government Center, or Harris's apartment, or if all emergency forces are lost, it's game over.
