As most of you know, I really love alchemy. But I feel like it's missing and it could be a lot nicer.
This is the first major update to my previous mod "Minor Alchemy Overhaul". This update also included a new name as this is now an official major project for me.
Remove Minor Alchemy Overhaul if you use this mod.
Required: Realm of Magic & Outdoor Retreat.
Alchemy for everyone
I removed the ban that prevented anyone except spellcasters from enjoying alchemy.
Now any human or other occult types (aliens/vampires/mermaids) will be able to create their own elixirs.
Note: During this time, your Sim will receive spellcaster EXP, even if they are not a spellcaster. I will fix this in the future with a new alchemy skill that is separate from the spell.
You can also go to the headquarters of the magical kingdom and ask the sages for recipes, just like spellcasters!
There is still 3 hours of cooldown in the game to ask for another recipe.
Cauldron Herbalism
I've added new recipes that will allow you to make all your herbal potions outdoors in a cauldron.
Each recipe will give you 5 "portions" of elixirs that you create. Same as regular rum potion recipes.
Adjusting Herb Prices and Ingredients
I have adjusted all the ingredients for each herbal recipe. This includes recipes for the grill, stovetop, and cauldron.
Below are the required ingredients and retail price of the Herbalism Elixir.
Each herbal elixir has a production cost of §5. Think of it as the cost of your bottles. Each recipe also has a unique ingredient cost, depending on the items required.
Ingredients are now optional, if you don't have the required ingredients you will pay the full cost shown when crafting. If you have all the ingredients, you only pay §5 per craft.

Buying alchemy ingredients via computer
You will find the "buy alchemy ingredients" menu in the "order" menu on any computer. Here you can purchase everything you might need for alchemy/herbalism.
This is an optional file** - If you do not want to be able to purchase these ingredients, simply remove the .package file included in the download.
