This Merchant Life is a trading strategy game set in the troubled medieval kingdom of Peregrine. Starting with a wooden cart, two horses and a few coins, the player buys and sells goods between towns and cities with dynamic prices, while upgrading the cart and horses to improve the caravan’s speed and carrying capacity.
Mercenaries and heroes can join the caravan to protect it on bandit-haunted roads, and the player commands them in turn-based battles against wild animals and hostile people. Random events present choices, while missions reward coins and reputation. Character levels unlock skills, and funding projects and construction in settlements grants reputation and bonuses. The game also features a story campaign involving merchant ventures and intrigue.
