A rhythm-action puzzle game in which Touhou Project characters battle to rearranged music from the series. Touhou Spell Bubble features 20 characters, including Reimu and Marisa, and 60 spell cards that can be used to pursue victory in battles.

In the single-player story mode, players travel through Gensokyo and follow an original story. Challenge mode pits them against powerful opponents using designated characters and spells, and also includes stages with higher difficulty. The game features 48 arranged Touhou Project tracks, including 12 new songs made exclusively for it.
