This medical simulation with action and puzzle elements follows surgeons Markus Vaughn and Valerie Blaylock as they operate on patients and try to save their lives. Markus works at a remote hospital in Alaska and uses his Healing Touch, while Valerie hopes to awaken her own dormant abilities. When the hospital closes, they return to Concordia Medical Institute and are recruited into the government organization Caduceus.
Operations require precise, time-sensitive use of a scalpel and forceps. For the first time in the series, two players can work together, coordinating their actions during surgery. A new medical team offers advice during emergencies, as the doctors investigate a conspiracy with serious consequences.
