A mixed martial arts fighting game set in UFC competition, UFC 2009 Undisputed recreates the atmosphere of a live event and features more than 80 fighters across five weight classes. Matches take place in the Octagon, where fighters use techniques from Muay Thai, kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu; impacts visibly affect their facial and body models.

The Create-A-Fighter system lets players customize a fighter and manage training. In Career Mode, the athlete’s attributes and skills develop over a series of storylines, with the goal of reaching the UFC Hall of Fame.
