A science-fiction role-playing strategy game about a small colony on Mars trying to survive and prosper after the events of UFO: Aftermath. The story runs alongside UFO: Aftershock: while the Laputans on Earth fight Wargots and Starghosts and investigate the destruction of their home planet, the Martian colony faces its own challenges.
The player conducts scientific research and communicates with various factions on Earth. These interactions reveal more about the activities of intergalactic organisms known as Myrmecols and offer a different perspective on the events of the previous games. The game features new technologies, an unusual environment, and both familiar and unknown enemies.
