Waku Waku 7 is an arcade fighting game featuring battles between nine characters, each with a distinct fighting style. Every character has a powerful special move that must be charged: the preparation can be interrupted, while the attack itself cannot be blocked. Fighters can launch opponents across the screen and attack them on the ground, but can also evade or counterattack while getting up.
The game features four basic attacks and screen zooming. Two characters are available only in Versus mode in the console versions.
